Ylang Ylang Cananga odorata
Aromatic Description: Tropical sweetness mingled with slightly spicy notes and wrapped with richly floral nuances.
Ylang ylang carries the lush enchantment of the tropics, offering a sensual, deeply aromatic presence that has long been woven into the cultural and spiritual traditions of Southeast Asia. Its golden blossoms have adorned wedding chambers in Indonesia and been fashioned into fragrant garlands in the Philippines, where their scent is used to invite blessings and soften the boundary between the physical and the sacred. Over time, this evocative flower traveled to Europe, inspiring perfumers with its exotic, multilayered aroma.
Ylang ylang essential oil is produced through multiple stages of steam distillation, each capturing a different facet of its complexity. Our ylang ylang “complete” blends these distillation grades into a balanced, full-bodied fragrance that supports relaxation, sense of joy, and a confident presence.

Safety:
Ylang ylang essential oil is generally nontoxic, however topical applications of high concentration may cause skin irritation. We recommend a maximum of 1% dilution for adults (1 drop per teaspoon of carrier oil).
Over exposure to the strong, heady scent of ylang ylang may trigger headaches and nausea in some individuals- especially children.
Many children find the aroma of ylang ylang to be too strong, however when blended with linalool rich essential oils such as lavender or petitgrain, ylang ylang can create a soothing atmosphere for them. For children under 10, we recommend diffusion with other calming oils.
