Sweet Orange Citrus sinensis
Aromatic Description: Sweet and tangy, just like freshly sliced oranges.
Description
In many cultures, the orange has stood as a symbol of abundance and vitality. These radiant fruits grow in multitudes upon shrubby evergreen trees, bursting with flavor and nutrition. Revered for their health-sustaining properties and joyful aroma, oranges became cherished gifts during winter festivals from East to West- offering blessings of health and prosperity.
Orange fruits are an example of nature's versatility- sweetly providing us with assortment of gifts. This fruit gives of itself until every scrap has been used; teaching us that abundance is all around us if we choose to make the most of what we have.
Sweet orange essential oil is the byproduct of the juice industry. As fresh oranges are peeled and processed for juice production, the rinds are cold pressed by an industrial expeller to extract the fragrant essential oil. This essential oil is used across several industries including perfumery, aromatherapy, food and flavor, chemical manufacturing and more.
Sweet orange essential oil captures the sparkling sunlight and carefree optimism of nature. This vivacious essential oil shares many of the same properties of the fruit; delightful and renewing aroma, cleansing antioxidant activity, anti-microbial properties and immune supporting benefits to keep your natural defenses attuned to seasonal threats. The versatility of sweet orange doesn't stop there! It also offers digestive support, relief from tense muscles and mood enhancing properties.
Our sweet orange essential oil is produced from untreated orange groves cultivated in the Italian countryside.

Digestive Balance: When your tummy needs a tonic, sweet orange can restore your balance. This crisp citrus companion is traditionally used to relieve nausea, bloating and indigestion as well as soothing intestinal cramping. As a child-friendly alternative to more potent oils such as peppermint or fennel, sweet orange can gently make little bellies happy. Simply dilute and massage a blend of sweet orange and Roman chamomile clockwise across the belly to relive digestive discomfort.
Seasonal Health: When coughs begin creeping around, reach for sweet orange. This gentle oil has a mean streak for microbes that want to wreck your weekend. Simply add to a diffuser or inhaler to keep germs away! Sweet orange is also an ideal choice for keeping kiddos healthy!
Circulate: Puffy eyes and bloated limbs may be a sign of sluggish lymphatic circulation. A gentle scrub with sweet orange essential oil can help to break up blockages and stimulate healthy lymph flow.

Clear Energetic Blockages: It's normal to feel blocked and stagnant sometimes.
This typically arises when we get in our own way while striving towards something important to us. As we cling to a goal, idea or standard, we can quickly become fixated on the outcome and loose awareness of ourselves. Before we realize it, our rigid pushing becomes a pattern, and we find ourselves chronically frustrated, anxious and even depressed.
Sweet orange invites us to explore our capacity to adapt to and embrace unexpected setbacks, obstacles or different approaches. As we soften and surrender control, sweet orange works to clear the messy energetic blocks we created though or inflexible commitment to perfection.
