Ginger Zingiber officinale

Aromatic Description: Boldly warm, earthy and grounding with spicy and sweet notes.

Description

For centuries, ginger has been a worldwide apothecary staple. This pungent rhizome is prized in Ayurveda for its warming and drying properties and cherished in Traditional Chinese Medicine to dispel cold and awaken the body's inner warmth. As ginger traveled westward, its uses became entwined with modern culinary culture for it's gift at supporting digestive balance. In autumn, fresh or dried ginger is added to ciders and baked goods, in hopes of supporting healthy immunity and infusing a sense of warmth during the cooler, darker months.

Strong, spicy and full of vigor, ginger essential oil encourages movement and flow. Honoring its roots in traditional herbal practice, ginger essential oil may support digestive flow, especially when meals feel heavy and sluggish. When joints and muscles feel stiff and tender, ginger supports the body's natural inflammation response and gets you moving again. This supportive oil also warmly kindles boldness and enthusiasm during moments when our confidence and creativity feel blocked. Whether diffused to enliven a room or applied topically to support physical resilience, ginger essential oil invites us to stand tall and embrace our inner strength.

Body

Ease Inflammation: Ginger essential oil offers comforting support for when joints feel stiff and muscles are sore. A soothing topical blend made with ginger may support the body's natural ability to ease occasional pain and inflammation.

Support Digestion: When meals feel heavy and digestion feels sluggish, ginger essential oil can offer relief. Spicy and full of vigor, ginger may support the body's natural digestive rhythm. A belly blend with coriander and sweet orange may offer after dinner relief.

Microbial Defense: Ginger essential oil may promote the body's natural resilience while helping to create a clean, energizing environment. Diffusing ginger helps to maintain a fresh, pleasant atmosphere full of autumnal vibes and seasonal support.

Mind

Motivation and Procrastination: When lethargy and complacency hold us back, ginger kindles the fires of motivation. Ginger's spicy can-do attitude gives us the energy to step up and step in, inspiring us to find satisfaction in even the most mundane responsibilities.

Confidence and Willpower: Sometimes our own light grows dim and cold, difficult to find and fragile to share. Ginger sinks into that darkness and reignites our willpower and confidence. This warm oil radiates strength, emboldening us to embrace our power and live unapologetically.

Spirit

Circulating and Renewing: Sometimes, situations occur that leave us feeling disempowered. When these feelings aren't processed, they can lead to energetic blockages- with symptoms of lethargy, apathy and loss of motivation.
Ginger's spicy warming properties help to circulate stagnant energy, flushing out distortions and attitudes that weigh us down. With it's bold and grounding personality, ginger renews our vigor and our mindsets. It reminds us to embody our personal power and assertively claim our right to manifest love, happiness and abundance.
